The upcoming feature-length film will feature exclusive, never-before-seen footage from Bono's shows at New York's Beacon Theatre, as well as performances of well-known U2 songs.
Ahead of the film's premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 30, the official trailer for Bono: Stories of Surrender has been released.
Described as a "bold and lyrical visual exploration" of Bono’s one-man show of the same name, the film will see the U2 singer pulling back the curtain on "a remarkable life and the family, friends, and faith that have challenged and sustained him, revealing personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rockstar." The show is based on Bono's memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story.
