Gemma Hayes has shared a new single 'Central Hotel'.
Lifted from the Tipperary singer-songwriter's 2024 album Blind Faith, 'Central Hotel' has been released alongside a new mix by Grammy-winning producer and composer Marius de Vries, whose credits include the soundtracks of Moulin Rouge and La La Land.
"With 'Central Hotel' I wanted to bring to life an encounter I had many moons ago," said Hayes. "Our lives intertwined for a moment in time. It’s all like a ghost to me now. When I play this song live I feel transported to that place again."
The Mercury Prize nominee's new single comes accompanied by a hypnotic music video directed by Alfred George Bailey.
"To complement the song’s dreamlike essence, we chose to shoot with Cooke SP3 lenses, which allowed us to craft a soft, cinematic aesthetic that perfectly mirrors the song’s wistful, nostalgic tone," said Bailey about the video. "Every frame was designed to feel intimate and timeless, just like the music itself."
